This isn't an XEmacs issue. At least on my environment, this brings
up the HTML submode of PSGML. It looks to me like this is simply a
convenience change, ie, "better than nothing", which links the .jsp
extension to that mode. The psgml-html library itself is basically
orphaned, as far as I can tell.
Contact the PSGML maintainer, Lennart Staflin <lenst(a)lysator.liu.se>,
about feature requests for PSGML and derived modes thereof. You are
more likely to get a helpful response there, and if somebody here is
interested, they'll respond, too.
Or, if you know of a library that actually does what you want, let us
know and we will seriously consider adding it to our packages distro,
depending on the burden it will place on XEmacs and the activity of
the upstream developers.
And of course if you wish to contribute the extension yourself, you're
certainly welcome to ask for any help or explanations you need on the
XEmacs Developers' lists, xemacs-design(a)xemacs.org or
xemacs-beta(a)xemacs.org.
