Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
When using VM with BBDB, BBDB tries to collect the names and
email addresses of incoming messages.
A lot of Japanese messages have "From" lines that look like
this:
From: =?iso-2022-jp?B?GyRCRnxLXD9NGyhC?= <someone(a)somewhere.jp>
When BBDB sees such a message, it files the sender's email
address under the name "iso-2022-jp". As a result, the BBDB
entry for "iso-2022-jp" comes to have a significant number
of email addresses, and only the first few of these can be
displayed in the on-screen BBDB record. This could confuse
some users; if they recognise one of the email addresses
displayed in the BBDB record, but don't look at the From
line, then they might think the message came from a
different one of their contacts than it actually came from.
