I have access to the sources on all three administrations (mine and
two University nets) on which XEmacs is available. However, in one
case I know that the sources are incorrect, because the running
version is 20.3 and the sources are 20.4 :-(
In general, variables like `source-directory' should be the user's
responsibility, as the XEmacs binary cannot make any guarantees about
what might be lurking in that directory, even if it used to be the
right directory.
