Use 21.4 instead of 21.1. Really. If you mean Red Hat 8.0 by "Linux
8.0", you can grab RPMs from the RH distribution CD or up to date ones
;. If you decide to build 21.4 yourself,
you might want to configure with --pdump.
If you must get 21.1, try configuring with --ldflags='-z nocombreloc'
and do a "ulimit -c unlimited" in the shell before running XEmacs to get
a core dump. On RH8 and probably other Linux distros the core file will
be named like core.<process-id>.
