and the doc-strings for (2) `buffers-tab-items' which says
"This is the tab filter for the top-level buffers \"Buffers\" tab.
It dynamically creates a list of buffers to use as the contents of the
tab.

This doesn't really sound user-friendly. Think about users who don't
know Lisp (the vast majority) -- to them, the above docstring is
Lisp-babble.
