Hello list,
since some days I use bury-buffer() to switch between buffers. I use
also mouse-bury-buffer and mouse-unbury-buffer, which I bound to my
mouse whell.
While searching for an good way to cycle between my buffers, I saw a lot
of self-written function to implement a function like unbury-buffer.
Since mouse-unbury-buffer already contains the logic for this, I would
like to see the logic of this function moving to unbury-buffer.

Do you have C-x <left> and C-x <right>? Not sure when they were added.

What is wrong with the stuff in sample.el written by Ben ? It even cycles
buffers based on major mode. Saves soem cycles when cycling through
buffers....

I think he meant »sample.init.el«. You can find it in the `etc/'
directory of XEmacs. Or use the menu; Help->Samples->View sample init.el

Switching through buffers based on mode is nice, but lacking for some stuff I
wanted to do, so I wrote some lisp to set up arbitrary buffer rings to cycle
through not too long ago, and I sent the first version of it to the list in
case someone else found it useful. I'll reattach it below as it has some
fixes in it over the previous version.

and building a package?
I think the idea is nice.

Me too. Why don't you do it? ;-)
For starters, read the XEmacs Users' Guide, node Creating Packages,
the Lispref, node Packaging.
BTW, even just a list of URLS would be a good start. If you want to
do something, you don't have to do it all, and you don't have to do it
now. But ... you do have to DO IT HERE.
If you know something we should know, post it, please.

I will think about. I will write some tests in the middle of the next
month, thats why I am busy at the moment. But I have time to think about
it and to read the suggest manual.
