Yes it works for the 21.1.x series, as I said.
I know, but those were the only two I had available to test it with.
Here is the comment of the authors concerning the 21.2+ series
;; BUG: There is known and unresolved bug with ISearch code of the
;; folding when used the latest XEmacs 21.2+ versions. This is due to
;; changed infrastructure in XEmacs side. Folding maintainers at this
;; time do not know how to regain compatibility with XEmacs.
Hmmmm. This isn't in my version of folding.el.
I hoped this was solved meanwhile.
Maybe it was. My version in 21.4.11 (NT) was 2.107 (see top of
folding.el) and it came as part of the text-modes package in XEmacs.
How old is your version of folding.el? Did it come as an XEmacs
package?
It does not work for me on 21.4.12 (Linux) nor on 21.4.11 Win9x, I
am
stunned that it seems to work for you, can you send me your setting?
Since you have a recent version of XEmacs, you may only need to remove
your folding.el from site-lisp (if that's where you keep it) and let
XEmacs pick up the one in xemacs-packages/lisp/text-modes.
Mine is:
;;{{{ FOLDING--loads y hooks
(load "folding" 'nomessage 'noerror)
(folding-mode-add-find-file-hook)
;;}}}
Mine is the same.
