I don't think so. VM is primarily written as a mail reader. I
believe it uses one of the mail composition tools (message, or
emacs's mail mode) to compose mail.
Ah, right! Sending email! Doh!
But the VM documentation for "Sending Messages" says:
When sending messages from within VM, you will be using the
standard Mail major mode provided with GNU Emacs, plus some
extensions added by VM. *Note Mail Mode: (emacs)Mail Mode.
However, mail composition buffers created by VM have some extra
command keys.
Will the extensions be picked up by the menu entry? Even if it does
nothing special, perhaps there should be a "VM" entry that simply
calls vm-mail (if functionp).
