Oh! I had found
Options->Customize->Update Packages
but failed to notice
Options->Customize->Emacs->Packages->...
I have installed roughly every package in the world. When I did
Options->Customize->Update Packages
it went astray and blonked at some point.
I suspect this has to do with old packages laying raound in my /tmp
and
package-get-remove-copy being nil.
Also, the first time around I got
Symbol's function definition is void: package-get-custom
I'll see if I can reproduce this.
