More specifically, the value of `buffers-tab-selection-function' is
`select-buffers-tab-buffers-by-mode' by default, and it deletes
buffers from the tab list is the major mode does not match (up to
`buffers-tab-grouping-regexp'). Set `buffers-tab-selection-function'
to nil, and you should get both.
Hm. Andy, I don't see anything about extension in the code for
21.2.29 ... have you changed anything there in the last week? I
thought that was just an artifact of modes getting automatically set
according to `auto-mode-alist'.
BTW, neither tabs nor progress bars is documented in gutters.texi yet
... Hrvoje (and everybody), you have a sharp eye for this kind of
stuff, keep telling me what you think a user ought to be told about
these. I'm going to just document everything in lisp/gutter-items.el,
but that will help organize it.
