where is the Elisp manual. I was pointed out that C-h i Elisp would
point
to the elisp manual.
If it’s installed correctly, C-h i m lispref RET should take you to it. If
it isn’t installed correctly, try, in the *scratch* buffer,
C-u M-! locate lispref.info | head -1 RET
That should give you the path to the file, if it’s available. Once you have
that, kill it, and do
C-u C-h i C-y RET
You should see a page starting with
This Info file contains the third edition of the XEmacs Lisp
Reference Manual, corresponding to XEmacs version 21.0.
after you do that.
If it’s not installed at all--that is, the locate command didn’t give you a
result--search for that paragraph in Google, and you’re certain to get a
HTMLised version somewhere.
The point is this does not work for me (21.4.16 debian unstable)
I do remember that I read in xemacs a sort of lisp manual, but I don't
remember whether this was a no debian version (in which case I would
file a bug report) or it was under another name.
If the lispref doesn’t appear in the menu when you start up info, the
install is broken, and Debian should know about it.
