Obviously, relinking doesn't help because this message comes from a
clean build. This might be in Olivier's area. The system is Linux
(latest Debian potato) with glibc-2.1.
No. Your problem is a mismatch between the Xaw libraries and headers that
you are using - you are probably using Xaw3d libraries but standard headers.
