It's very useful to have the configuration and platform information that's available from those reports. If you're building from scratch, a build report (M-x build-report) would be useful, too. I know it looks like the bug reports just drop into a black hole, but that's not true. I'm reading all of them (which is part of why I respond usefully to so few :-/ ) and I'm sure several others are reading at least some.
