I decided to upgrade from 21.1.6 to 21.1.7 using the exact installation instructions from the web page. I did a 'configure', 'make', and 'make install' specifying a prefix off of my home directory. Everything seemed to go well. When I now start xemacs, I get the following (1) (warning/warning) Autoload error in: /homes/washington/colman/lib/xemacs/xemacs-packages/lisp/lookup/auto-autoloads: Cannot open load file: mule I did NOT configure with mule nor did I install any mule-related packages. I did not have this problem with 21.1.6, although I was running that version out of the source tree and manually installed the packages from the sumo.
