Xkb-Extensions and XEmacs

Hi there ! In german linux groups people quite often report problems with using Xkb-Extensions of Xfree86 and XEmacs[1]. For me, this is not a real problem, since I don't use the extensions. But if there is a solution, I would like to know about it (in order to forward it to the FAQ-maintainer of the german linux groups. And hey, why isn't it in the XEmacs FAQ ?) Could somebody (please just one) point me at it ? If there is no (easy) solution, why is this so (read: do I have to download the mailing-list archive) ?
