I have another problem: How can I open a directory for dired? The windows file selection dialog allowes me only to open a file. If I select one I have a dired view with only this file. Of course, I can then select the directory (by selecting the buffers first line), but that is not very comfortable. Furthermore, this forces to have a file in an directory. I have another question: what happend to the old file select dialog? Can I still use it (sometimes :-) ? For me that old selection dialog has one advantage: I can faster open my files, because I only have to type the first chars of it and can then use tab.
