No offense, but this is almost comical. :-) I think you have more
problems with XEmacs than all other Solaris users combined. I
recommend starting from scratch with an OS re-install and dumping the
system in the garbage if that doesn't work.
Not really an option (at least the last part :-). The thing that I want
to make sure of is that this isn't something caused by the latest round of
Solaris 2.5 patches I installed. Otherwise, it's something everyone is
going to see when the bring their system up to Sun's current recommended
patch level....(the problems and the patches were close to the same time
-- I can't be sure they were exactly the same though).
The really interesting thing is, I've built and installed all sorts of
other packages in the last few weeks, and none of them are showing any
problems like this. This even includes things as complex as gimp....
