It seemed that I build my XEmacs without guage support, so the indicator
always displayed in minibuffer as lots of dots.
I'll rebuild my XEmacs to see if the issue still there..
Unfortunately, point 2 is not fixed yet. I can reproduce the issue by
using lucid widget (athena widget used)..
