Configure uses sed -rn

Can you be more specific as to where this gets called? Grepping for
'-rn' in configure-related files gives me two hits as argument to
'print' in generated code, not in configure.ac, not as an argument to
'sed'. Grepping for -rn in a recent configure log give no hits at
all.
