My Fedora X server doesn't seem to suffer from this problem - XEmacs 21.4
can identify shifted function keys without difficulty. Nevertheless, I
applied your patch to the 21.4 sources and it doesn't make things worse for
me, so I pushed your change to the 21.4 repo. Uwe, please checkout a new
copy of 21.4 and see if this helps.
