I was able to read Markus's file fine in 21.4.8, I won't be able to
thoroughly check (I'll have to rebuild) until Monday at least.
However, I wonder about this:

Are you sure? The lack of debugging symbols:

I would be very grateful if you would do this before you upgrade to
21.4.9, in case it's a Heisenbug. I really don't trust the CCL
interpreter, so I'd like to track this down even if it disappears in
21.4.9.
