sh-script mode is automatically added to the auto-mode-alist for use by all
shells (bash, ksh, etc). ksh-mode (which is also documented as being
intended for sh, ksh and bash) is NOT added to the auto-mode-alist and has to
be manually invoked in order to be used. Is one or the other obsolete? Can
anyone tell me whether one is considered better than the other? Are they
both good and are both provided so the user can choose?
