I believe --pdump is now default on Linux for exactly this reason.

According to the post from emacs-devel I forwarded, an installed
XEmacs will _not_ break. Same as with "Hannibal Lector" ld, the
"Texas Chainsaw" toolchain can only affect XEmacs if XEmacs is built
with it.
