He did. He got snagged by the spam catcher.
For everybody's information:
Although it's by no means perfect, we have implemented a number of
spam-reducing measures for the XEmacs mailing lists. The following
restrictions are in effect:
1. A number of known spammers/virus-infected posters are completely
blocked.
2. There are size restrictions on posts. These are pretty generous
for most lists, but if your post doesn't appear in a timely
fashion, and it was more than a few dozen kB, that may be why.
3. Implicit addresses (ie, SMTP envelope addresses that are not in
the RFC 2822 addressee headers) are not allowed. The list you are
posting to must appear in the To: or CC: headers, or the post will
be held for approval. (This is what caught Dhruva.)
4. Certain random headers with contents are interdicted because of
the high probability the associated message contains UCE and/or a
virus.
If your post doesn't appear in the usual amount of time (minutes, for
me), then it most likely fell afoul of one of the above restrictions.
Held posts are moderately carefully checked by the postmasters, so
they should be approved and be posted within 24-48 hours. If not,
write directly to us at <xemacs-mailmaint(a)xemacs.org>.
Yes, we have the usual array of postmaster@, {$list}-owner@, etc
addresses, but our regular postmaster is on vacation and I can't
confirm offhand that all of those will be seen by someone active in
list maintenance. I know that at least three postmasters (me, Adrian,
Robin Socha -- welcome, Robin!) are active on an approximately daily
basis on xemacs-mailmaint ... so use that address.
Web issues can go to <webmaster(a)xemacs.org> or
<xemacs-webmaint(a)xemacs.org>, which are aliased to each other.
