It won't. It will be read only once. `custom-file' is used only for
*saving*.
Didier, please make some effort to read my mails. THIS WAS IN 20.4!!!
I am not changing anything. No, I don't like it, but we can't cure it
by introducing a worse disease. The current b40 code is "worse
disease".
