[Bug: 21.4.13] German Umlaute still displayed at small font size after font size change

================================================================ Dear Bug Team! I have changed the font size of XEmacs to a higher value. However, the German Umlaute (öäü) change back to the small font size after I save the buffer. How can I chnage that annoying behaviour? Thanks!
