Hm. It's not clear to me that much of anything should get dumped in
completion-ignored-extensions that Emacs doesn't create itself, ie,
"~" and ".elc" and not much else, unless the admin specifically asks
for it.
In principle, of course. Since I don't have a suggestion as to how
the admin would do that (a ./configure option doesn't bear thinking
about), I guess tuning the current list according to complaints from
users and the intuition of XEmacs developers is the best thing to do
for now.
