I'll try it out, thanks.
While we are at it, there is another issue:
% /usr/bin/tar -zxf
/misc/pkg-distfiles/xemacs-packages/cedet-common-1.03-pkg.tar.gz
tar: Cannot link file lisp/cedet-common/cedet-compat.el to itself
tar: Cannot link file lisp/cedet-common/cedet-compat.elc to itself
%
GNU tar can cope with this anomaly,
% /usr/pkg/bin/gtar -ztvf
/misc/pkg-distfiles/xemacs-packages/cedet-common-1.03-pkg.tar.gz
[...]
-rw-r--r-- root/root 3576 2015-12-14 22:33
lisp/cedet-common/cedet-compat.el
hrw-r--r-- root/root 0 2015-12-14 22:33
lisp/cedet-common/cedet-compat.el link to lisp/cedet-common/cedet-compat.el
-rw-r--r-- root/root 1915 2016-01-04 21:48
lisp/cedet-common/cedet-compat.elc
hrw-r--r-- root/root 0 2016-01-04 21:48
lisp/cedet-common/cedet-compat.elc link to
lisp/cedet-common/cedet-compat.elc
[...]
but it would be nice if I could avoid the dependency. Maybe you could
repackage?
I built it with GNU tar initially, but on looking closer the version of GNU
tar on my machine is 1.17, I may get better results if I upgrade. Thanks for
the report.
