You know that configure.usage is prominently featured on

http://www.xemacs.org/Install/index.html as the reference for
configuration options, don't you? (item 5.)

configure help has not enough information (yet).
My patch is band-aid, granted; but I think the chances are very small
that anybody will step up to fix build in the next few weeks, i.e.,
build will be unusable for the mid-term to long-term future. Thus, if
you cvs rm configure.usage, you should think about removing the
references to build from your documentation, too. Or add a big
 disclaimer that it doesn't work.
Anyhow, I don't care much; I just wanted to help. Next time I'll spend
the evening with my wife, instead of preparing an unannounced
 patch. ;-)
Joachim, you bring up a good point.
I can imagine that you are a bit frustrated about our response.
I also see no harm in committing your change to the
no-release-in-site-for-21-5-code-base.
We can certainly fix
http://www.xemacs.org/Install/index.html
in under a day, once we have a plan.
Patches to the xemacsweb CVS module are just as welcome as for the
rest of the XEmacs code base!
