I just installed Xemacs 21.4 on Win2k, and do not have a
"HOME"
environment variable set as mentioned in
http://www.xemacs.org/Documentation/21.5/html/xemacs-faq_7.html#SEC279
When I attempted to "Save options to init file", it was
trying to
create a file on o:, a drive which does not exist on my system!
As soon as I created the HOME environment variable as mentioned in
the
above FAQ article, it correctly tried to save the config to the
desired location.
Shouldn't XEmacs try :
- %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% (under NT only)
- Shell CSIDL_PERSONAL folder (typically
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents)
and set HOME locally for the process to one of these values if HOME is
undefined ?
