This is very inaccurate. Martin and Steve wrote _lots_ of docs, true,
but their names are on a lot more commits. And the Great Trunk Move
is going to make Michael Sperber the primary author of XEmacs IIRC.
Use the ChangeLogs, instead.
Either way, it seem to be available for developers mostly, which is
kind of OK.
I hoped that texinfo had some tag for putting authornames to individual
chapters and sections as is seen in some compilation books. So users, i.e.
readers of the documentation would see it. I guess this kind of author
notation based on chapters and sections needs changes in the
texinfo-system. But since most Open Source documentation is written by
many authors it may be a very needed feature.
Example:
Stephen J. Turnell is author of the (xemacs)Creating Packages section
(maybe even more), right? But where should this be put? Maybe one should
add a section about authors.
