I didn't say you weren't helpful, just that you could try harder than
than that last message, which was unproductive in all respects.
It brought the point across you were contesting, and so I tend to
disagree on that point. I also consider it ludicrous to get subjected
to inflated standards of helpfulness when I have nothing to gain in
return.
I am fully aware that you are also being helpful on the Emacs developer
list, and I would consider anybody silly that told you to try harder in
that manner. That you try at all is respectable.
