We use RT 3.4.1 (circa 2004) at work. It supports email just fine.
But isn't RT just a ticketing system for helpdesk type tracking?
I've been a user of it at work for years.
It made issues visible and accountable.
But I wouldn't view it as a serious bug tracking system.
We're using ClearQuest at work for bug/feature tracking and it sure is
powerful.
The challenge with any bug tracking system we put into place will be
to keep the data fresh and accurate.
