Hi Steve,
the extra toothpick after extra is gone now :-)
I still get the same installation problem, though:
./lisp/ilisp/extra/hyperspec-naggum.el
./lisp/ilisp/extra/hyperspec.el
./;ELC
Error: unknown type flag 2. Exiting.
Error: incorrect magic number in tar header. Exiting
Error: unknown type flag y. Exiting.
Error: cannot create file ./;ELC. Exiting.
I am fairly convinced now this is due to the symbolic link hyperspec.el.
I can build and install ilisp on my
Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195] SP2
because of this in ilisp/Makefile:
ifeq ($(XEMACS_NATIVE_NT),t)
LN = cp
else
LN = ln -s
endif
In addition to that I get caught in a infinite loop during removal of
package ilisp:
Removing directory: No such file or directory: "c:\Program
Files\XEmacs\xemacs-packages\lisp\ilisp\extra"
Removing directory: No such file or directory: "c:\Program

Removing directory: No such file or directory: "c:\Program

Quit
This might be because
(directory-files ".")
returns
("." ".." ...)
