Personally, I don't write any verilog, but I work with people who do. I wish they would automatically get a modern verilog mode with their xemacs, but unfortuately I don't know enough about verilog or xemacs. The only thing I know of that doesn't work properly with the verilog mode version 3.57 is that it installs a menu that stays around even when you're not in verilog mode.
