It depends what you mean by work! The progress bar examples in that
file appear to work. The other bits don't. Tqhat's off-topic for this
discusssion (I guess) but I'll mention it below anyhow.

I don't know what XEmacs is really meant to display with that file. At
a narrow width, it all looks fine(ish). At the width of my screen, it
all starts flashing.
Trying to resize between the two made XEmacs dump core again. (gdb
output available on request).
Pressing return in an ordinary sized window caused all the images to
repeat themselves and flash again.
I have gutters turned off, if it helps.
