bug in custom with string.

Hello There seems to be a bug in customise ( I am using the version shipped with 21.4.10, that is version 1.9960-x ) Now I want to customise Symbol Auto Style Alist that goes like: X Symbol Auto Style Alist: * [INS] [DEL] Choice: [Value Menu] In major modes: [INS] Token language: nil Choice: [Value Menu] Turn on if (eval'd): nil Coding (eval'd): nil Save 8bits (eval'd): nil Unique decoding (eval'd): nil Super/subscripts (eval'd): nil Show images (eval'd): nil I press ins and get X Symbol Auto Style Alist: * [INS] [DEL] Choice: [Value Menu] In major modes: [INS] [DEL] Function: "text-mode" ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Which is wrong since text-mode should not be a string but a symbol. According to christoph wedler this is a bug he already sent in 1998: http://list-archive.xemacs.org/xemacs-beta/199809/msg00299.html Is there any progress. Thanks Uwe Brauer
