I think the context makes it abundingly clear that ``Mule''
refers to
the XEmacs/Mule support.
At least, a person who let me know of this paragraph didn't think so.
Please see this whole context:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the status of Asian-language support, aka MULE?
=======================================================
The MULE support works OK but still needs a fair amount of work
before it's really solid. We could definitely use some help here, esp.
people who speak Japanese and will use XEmacs/MULE to work with
Japanese and have some experience with E-Lisp.
As the fundings on Mule have stopped, Mule part of XEmacs is
currently looking for a full-time maintainer. If you can provide help
here, or are willing to fund the work, please mail to
<xemacs-beta(a)xemacs.org>.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The title and the first paragraph use "MULE" (all uppercase). But,
the second paragraph uses "Mule". So, for a person who knows the term
"Mule" as a separate program "Mule Ver.2.3", the second paragraph can
read as below:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As the fundings on original Mule developping team have stopped, XEmacs
should maintain MULE part by itself, thus, we are looking for ...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think, for instance, the following change will reduce misleading.
Could you please consider it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As the fundings for MULE support on XEmacs have stopped, we are
currently looking for a full-time maintainer for that part. ...
