 Dear Bug Team!
I have been using 21.4.13 compiled --with-gtk without major problems,
except that sound did not work, so I tried a recompile without gtk,
and with both esd and native sound enabled.
Now sound works, but no matter what I do I keep getting this
"Fontifying buffer" with the stop button not working, and I can only
 stop it by invoking Control-G.
 The minubuffer displays
 Fontifying region...(wrong-type-argument markerp nil).

I have had similar problems with xemacs-21.5.13beta, but somehow
 managed to stop them.

I am reverting to the gtk-version, but would appreciate any
suggestions on how to fix the font-lock problems
I've been getting this as well. My case was on Windows 2000 Pro, in
21.5.14. Surprisingly, I copied the *same* binary to a Windows XP Home box,
and didn't have the problem there...
No idea what's going on here :-(
Paul.
