This is slightly off-topic, but my menu path to get to those options is slightly different, and I can't get it to work. Perhaps there is a transient network problem. When I execute "List & Install" after the first two, I get the following: Signaling: (error "Package-get database file `/anonymous＠ftp.xemacs.org:/pub/xemacs/packages/package-index.LATEST.pgp' not readable") signal(error ("Package-get database file `/anonymous＠ftp.xemacs.org:/pub/xemacs/packages/package-index.LATEST.pgp' not readable")) This is odd, because the "Update Package Index" operation completed, apparently successfully. It brought up a "File Save" dialog, pointing to the "etc" directory, and I OKed that. I also just tried doing a manual ftp of that file, and it also worked fine. My menu path is "Tools -> Packages -> (the same)". I assume this is because of an XEmacs version difference (21.4.3 here). -- =================================================================== David M.
