Building oort Gnus in site-packages

Can it be done while you've got regular Gnus in xemacs-packages? Can it be done at all? I'm getting a broken build because Gnus can't find its own files (nndiary.el, presumably that's new in oort). I noticed that there is probably a generic bug in XEmacs.rules, or maybe package-compile.el. That is that all dependencies _including the self-dependency_ come from xemacs-packages, not site-packages. So the autoloads come from xemacs-packages/gnus/gnus/lisp/auto-autoloads and the load-path contains xemacs-packages/gnus/gnus/lisp/, not site-packages/oort-gnus/gnus/lisp/auto-autoloads and site-packages/oort-gnus/gnus/lisp/. -- Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences http://turnbull.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN My nostalgia for Icon makes me forget about any of the bad things.
