Second, fedora has the "Freddy vs. Jason exec" feature, which randomizes where your executable gets loaded or something like that. While so far it is believed that this should _not_ cause problems for an XEmacs enabled with the portable dumper, you never know. You might try turning off the special feature in the loader that does this.
