No, this doesn't help me. I was just whining. There are a bunch of
anomolies in the "knot" of branches where 21.4 and 21.5 split off from
21.2 that I've always wanted to fix for historical interest, that's
all. It's really not something I'd want to do with anything but git
operating on a git repo (and I can't really argue it's of any
practical use anymore since that "knot" is over 10 years old).
