He really is stupid sometimes, not to mention inconsistent; is this
open source or what?
While I don't necessarily agree with the closedness of Emacs development,
I don't think it's an inconsistency in RMS's position: he doesn't care
about Open Source Software. Only about Free Software.
Note that the political underpinnings of the two philosophies are
pretty much completely opposed.
