I can certainly live with your changes. In fact, I use M-a and M-e
extremely often (more often than M-up and M-down, which I also use),
and I'll try to retrain my fingers to use M-up and M-down instead.
The point is that _any_ key binding change has a potential for being
controversial. We'll see wat happens when more beta testers start
using XEmacs with your changes.
