first of all, make sure to cc people you are writing about if you
want them to
see your message. otherwise they may not see it -- e.g. alastair
is not on
xemacs-review, and [for awhile at least] not on xemacs-beta. in
I *am* on xemacs-beta now.

Well this has been fixed (and was even fixed fairly quickly
once I'd figured out what exactly was going on). (See the
mailing list archive if you're *really* interested in
exactly what was going on - but it was basically due to
kludgey behaviour from the X code...)
However, there have been some more complaints about a
similar error...
