Only when the space was in the extent actually. No space or a space before
the extent with the glyph displayed just fine pre-patched (except for the
backwards refresh stuff). That's why my testcase popped up 3 windows, one
with just the newline, one with space & newline in extent, one with space
before the extent, and only the middle one displayed badly.
