Yes, please! I'm not really competent to work on Windows, and most of
the currently active developers know just enough about it to fix
whatever bug annoyed them last. Ben Wing is (maybe you already know
that he's done several implementations of Emacs on Windows), but the
fact that he's offering comments, not code, implies he's too busy to
get his hands dirty at this point.
I'm curious:
Why are you using 21.4? Is it inertia (which is a valid reason)? If
so, I do recommend moving to 21.5, because there are many things,
especially in the Unicode and internationalization areas, which work
much better in 21.5 on Windows. Also, Ben did a huge amount of work
on the menus and other user customization features which hasn't been
backported. They're somewhat controversial (in the usual way for UI
changes), but you may find them a big improvement.
If you're supporting other 21.4 users, and there are institutional
constraints against using 21.5 or something like that, what do you
need to upgrade?
If there are specific or general misfeatures in 21.5, please let us
know what they are.
