So?  Is there a technical difficulty, or are you that resource-
constrained?  I've done this on a number of occasions, and never found
a problem with it (except that it ties up a bit of memory for an extra
*term, shell, and gdb---all told, maybe a 10th of what XEmacs consumes
just starting up).  I certainly don't notice any loss of performance
from XEmacs.
