[Bug: 21.5-b28] gnus chokes, XEmacs dies

Dear Bug Team!
using XEmacs under X, when i try to read a particular post Xemacs dies
abruptly --- at the moment i have no core dump, i think i can provide
one if necessary
xemacs -nw can read the same post without any problem
imho, it's the Face: header...
